Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've made a fresh batch of these. Machined from a single piece of 6061 billet. Message me if you are interested. Ones on the left have the coolant tube removed so it gives a cleaner look for those running UAOS and incorporates a bleed screw in it's place. Much stronger than the cast piece which is double the price. Both styles have a new zinc plated bushing on the alternator support end. Over the years I've sold about 15 of these only on Rennlist. Here's the original thread. Thanks https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...r-bracket.html

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It’s probably not needed but since it’s a blind cavity now, there can be a chance for trapped air. I loosen it when it’s cold to release any air. Jim

sweet just was curious as I just installed mine

POST 5Original post

About how much coolant loss would occur by hot swapping in the new non-tube bracket?

POST 6Original post

I personally wouldnt hot swap I did before I drained the block and it pissed out a lot lol. But also the mating surface needed to be cleaned up before putting the new gasket and plate. I would cap that hose until youre ready for a coolant flush. I would have drained the block first but already had the engine supported by the jack table.

Another one installed! I was just getting the AOS replaced and cooling system flushed so, perfect timing on the availability. Thanks again Jim!!
