Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Because they were already installed I don't have a baseline car to compare them to, but I am a bit disillusioned by the pronounced rebound the car experiences when it becomes unsettled.
Leading evidence: 'Install i don't have a baseline car' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'best one i have' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Install i don't have a baseline car' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I have run different variations of damper adjustability, but observe the same issues at all settings.

The pic from my signature is probably the best one I have to show what height the car is currently set at.

I have a C4S with 68k miles and want to get those spring too, but I figure I should replace the shocks sometime soon...

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

It is funny to me that the Row M030 owners and ROW want-to-bees always feel compelled to getting their 2cents in on a PSS9 thread....Guys we are discussing PSS9 ride height not Row M030......Go luck with setting any ride height with a just avg better than Stock Porsche setup!
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I purchased an '01 996 C2 with Bilstein PSS9's. Because they were already installed I don't have a baseline car to compare them to, but I am a bit disillusioned by the pronounced rebound the car experiences when it becomes unsettled. The car does not absorb bumps, but rather bounces after hitting a bump.
I have run different variations of damper adjustability, but observe the same issues at all settings. Does anyone else with PSS9's see similar behavior?
Many thanks in advance,
Payton
What ride height are you at? Sounds like you are hitting the bump stops...see here:
PSS9 at GT2 ride height
The settings for PSS9 are for rebound/dampening. 1 is the quickest rebound. This is the exact opposite for PSS10.
wross996tt,
Many thanks for pointing out the "PSS9 at GT2 ride height" post on 6speedonline. I am convinced that is
exactly
my issue. The car is lowered quite substantially and it feels as though it hits the bumpstops very easily. In corners this effect is extremely pronounced.
Sounds like the best solution is reverting back to stock ride height.
Thanks again for the great advice on this forum!
Payton
I went with the ROW M030 suspension from Suncoast Porsche. PERFECT ride height and the suspension is fantastic. This is the suspension that should have come standard
Anyone know the direction for stiffest setting on the pss9's.... counterclockwise?
before anyone starts with the jokes.... yes Ive already asked my wife.
negative, you do NOT want to raise to the stock ride height. It is way too much. But sounds like yours may be too low. Can you post a close up pic front and rear?
+1 on height. I ended up about 1.5 under stock in front, 1.0 in back, with no problems (even at a rather "soft" setting). FYI, ride height at fender went from original 27.0F 26.5R to 25.5 F/R
Really like these shocks, at least for my street use!
Interesting, I didn't realize the stock setup was so high. The pic from my signature is probably the best one I have to show what height the car is currently set at. I'll measure it as well.
etwd,
I have a C4S with 68k miles and want to get those spring too, but I figure I should replace the shocks sometime soon...
So couple of questions:
Did you install the ROW M030 springs with stock shocks? If so, how many miles?
Also, how much drop?
I have had enough of this: 3times 3 strikes - I am calling you all out
Ok was this not a thread on PSS9 observations? ENOUGH ALREADY GO AWAY

Sometime I really wish the moderator would police this type of stuff more than some of the craziness from 996 owners that ruffled a few feathers....and made some of us laugh a little
There has been much that was discussed in the past. Where is Tim with DAFS?!?
https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/416371-proper-way-to-measure-non-stock-suspension-ride-height.html
The same thing happens in ROW 030 threads, with PSS9 owners joining in and posting about the PSS9's positive attributes.
I don't see anything wrong with that.
The two are the most popular suspension upgrades for the 996, and as such are always being compared.
No need for a board mod to interfere with or limit the discussion.
