This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a '99 C2 coupe. I recently ordered the 'trunk and hood' Silver lift levers (on the floorboard, next to the driver's seat). Does anyone know how to change them out? I've done the "search" and cannot find a DIY. The levers are worn, as most of them are, from shoes scraping across them, when exiting the car. I'm tired of looking at them, as they make the interior look old.............. Thanks.......

POST 2Original post

I recently had to dismantle that sill area but did not replace the levers. Its easier to do this without the seat but doable w/o removal. 1. There are 3 rubber caps on the side of the plastic bezel, remove them by prying with a small flat screw driver. 2. Use an allen wrench (forgot the size) in the hole that the cap covered, turn only about 5-6 turns. 3. Lift up on the body of the bezel. From here you should be able to see the mechanics of the latching system. How much was the part BTW.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks! I was directed to Rennlist.org for the DIY. Bought the part from Aaron (Suncoast Porsche - FL) for 71.30 (just the front lever; the rear lever was in great shape)

Renntech is a good call. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...hl=trunk+lever
