Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Although there may not be fuel, the issue is electrical with 12v not getting to the starter.
Leading evidence: 'electrical' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'electrical' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check fuses' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I tried to start my car this week and nothing. Bettery is OK. No power to the starter although the starter bench tested and jumped fine. Replaced the switch which did nothing. Then got into the relay block next to the DME. Relay 7 jumping causes the car to crank but not fire.
Any ideas?

just had this experience last week. the car would crank but would not fire or start. flat bedded to the dealer and the fuel pump is bad. approx. 1 g labor and the failed fuel pump replacement. hope it's different with your car.
Have you checked you engine ground? Mine did the same thing and the ground was loose. I wasn't very loose, but it doesn't take much.
I would turn the key and all lights would come on, but the car wouldn't even click, much less turn over. Tightened the ground and have had no problems since.
I believe the safety switch in the console for the gear selector also prevents the starter from turning over. I think there is something else going on, possibly DME related. Maybe the crank trigger?
Yes it does, but the relay will not operate from the ignition switch if the transmission switch is bad. Therefore, since the relay works, you have to work yourself backwards to the ignition which goes through the switch. Very simple to check the switch. If it is working, you can then move on to more difficult items to check.
Not sure I understand your logic here.
I have bypassed the interlock and the car still won't start, i.e. I have taken the switch out of the loop. So although this technically does not tell me the switch is good, it definitively tells me there is a problem which has nothing to do with the switch, and logically tells me that the switch is good because of the chances of two things failing simultaneously.
It's a bit moot at this point because it's going in and a PST will tell me in a couple of seconds what's wrong.
