Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Topic says it all. Can I go with a 235/40/18 ? Chad

POST 4Original post

Salazar, are you running 265 or 285 in the rear? I'm assuming this contributes to making the car easier to "rotate", no?

POST 5Original post

You can easily go to a 245 width tire on an 8" wheel. I think you could possibly fit a 255 on there as well.

POST 6Original post

Stiles---285 rear. I am using 2.5 degrees of camber front and stiff rear sway bar settings to get the front to plant and the rear to rotate a very little. Alex

POST 7Original post

tirerack.com has a function on their website that will tell you the range of tire size width that can go on a specified size rim. I'll see if I can get that link for you.........standby

POST 8Original post

Sorry, no link since it is tire specific. Basically all you have to do is select a tire (brand and size) then clic on the "specs" tab and it will tell you the rim size that size tire will work on. For example, a 255 will work on a 8-9.5" rim (8 min...9.5 max)
