Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is there a way to get the code for airbag light without taking to the dealer? The light came on a few weeks ago and I read about the TSB's with it and waned to narrow it down to be able to do the work myself. Thanks Rob

POST 2Original post

You need a dealer or independent with the PST2 or the newer tester to read air bag fault codes.

POST 3Original post

Dealer says that this is a known problem and Porsche is offering to pay 50% of the bill-about $500.00. The airbag system will not deploy with the light on (good to know). This is all the result of a slightly off millivoltage reading for the driver's side seat belt receiver. The service manager did think that they will recall it and repair...when is the question. He offered to "flash" the light when ever I wanted at no charge, however when I started the car the light was back on again.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
