Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Since I am considering 17mm spacers on the rear, how do turbo wheel offsets work on the narrow body cars? or...not work. Chad

POST 2Original post

The Turbo rear wheels (11" x 18" - ET45) will not work on the rear of a narrow body 996. Spacers will only make them worse.

POST 3Original post

Turbo fronts work the rears are the wrong offset, like Viken said spacers will make it worse.

POST 4Original post

I used a set of Turbos on my car just to have them in the shop "beaters" and they hung out pretty wide on the narrow body.... Don't do it!!!!! At least not for driving. Here's a better photo of mine with the Turbos..... just finish in the shop..... Note: I never drove with them on...... -Eli .

POST 5Original post

Viking, I had the dealer put the C4S wheels on my 2001 C4. What are the difference between the C4S and the Turbo wheels? Rob

POST 6Original post

Solid spoke vs. hollow spoke. Otherwise, they are the same sizes.

POST 7Original post

Hmmm... they fit perfectly, I used them for about 15,000 miles before I sold the car. What could he have done? .

POST 8Original post

Well, if they fit perfectly and they didn't stick out like on Eli's car above, they were not from a C4S. The same Turbo Look II wheel is also available in a 10" size for the narrow body cars. 996.362.140.04 - Turbo Look II - 10" x 18" - ET65 The C4S wheel would have been: 996.362.142.03 - Turbo Look II - 11" x 18" - ET45

POST 9Original post

That must be it... thanks!! Well then I HIGHLY recommend those wheels, they look incredible on the narrow body.
