Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I had the older T1-S tires on another car and was VERY impressed. I'm told the R is even slightly better and will probably try them when I need new tires.

POST 7Original post

I've been running the RE050A's for 6 months now and they are absolutely awesome. Infinite grip, very preditable, quiet, treadwear is decent for a tire that sticks the way this does. Highly recommend. According to tire rack the Sumitomo's are currently ranked #1 but if you go with the RE050A's you will be very pleased.

POST 8Original post

Both Bridgestone or Goodyear is an excellent choice. The Bridgestones rank very high in our customer reviews, and Car and Driver magazine rated the Goodyear one of the best its ever driven. The Goodyears as well have over 10 million miles reviewed, compared to the BStone's 876k. General wet weather traction of the Bridgestone is a bit better due to their patened rubber compound, but hydroplane resistance of the Goodyaer is the best you'll find. Live in areas where you see hard, sudden rain? Buy the Goodyear. Ride comfort more important to you? Buy the Goodyear. Ultimate cornering grip more important? Buy the BStone. Bottom line either tire is an excellent choice. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey...ay.jsp?type=MP

POST 9Original post

I'm on my second set of the Bridgestones. They are great tires. I had the Toyo T1S on a different car. They are nice as well, but I prefer the RE050A Pole Positions. This may not be a factor, but if you track your car with any of these tires, you can swap the wheels side to side with the Bridgestones. You can't do that with the Goodyears or Toyos. They are directional.

Directional only matters in the wet. I'm surprised no one has brought up PS2's. They're by far the best street tire I've ever had.
