looks to me that 'old' posts (previous to the format change) aren't showing up when searching topics...

Any reason for the change?, it is very confusing to me and the font is really small on the member names.

I was trying to remember some viken advice and did a search for "breaking in engine" no response (cant use 'in') then search "break engine" no response, then "engine" replied to by viken, no response.

Now that I look at it more it reminds me of the Windows 98 version of a forum where before it seemed more XP or Mac style, easier to navigate and understand. Thats all.
Washington, do you know Jeff Moss, he sometimes works in your field, I know his father is full time in it and I have lost touch with Jeff. I lived in Boca 4 years ago.
I don't mind the format change. However, search does not seem to be working. It claims no hits for any keywords specified. Is this a currently known problem? Can someone else confirm?

Yes, besides the small'ish fonts the new look is starting to grow on me....Think of this as the 997 forum look...it's a slight upgrade from the 996 board we've been used to. =)

Last night these combo's worked. I am sure that these are temporay bugs and we will be able to search more easily soon.

And when Porsche changes, some people like it, some people don't and nearly all of them can't do anything about it....except adust to it and live with it!!!!
I really like it. The layout suits me fine.
Some teething issues though.....probaby me rather than John D. But John can you put me right.
I can't see the little icons below postings. So can't figure how to PM someone.
Also I see these Yahoo icons. I am confused with this. Is this some sort of external email
system connected with rennlist. I mean if I can PM or email someone (assuming I still can) then what's the purpose of the Yahoo feature.
Also I see a "report bad post" icon. I assume this is so that members can fastrack a report of a bad post?
The Yahoo icon - over on the bottom left simply tells/shows people that they have other IM programs and you can use those to contact them.
I do not see the IM/PM icons either. Is this now gone?
Personally I really like the new format. So many more features. I also like the little online/offline light. The board seems much quicker than it has the last few months.
FYI to everyone...if you want to PM or see a member profile etc. Click on the user name and you get a drop down menu for all those functions that use to be listed at the bottom of the post.
John: the new changes look good. I am using the Safari browser on the Mac - thought you might like a report from the outlaw computer contingency.
