This took me by complete suprise because I am certain I have read here at Rennlist that some of you installed PSE with NO wires whatsoever and did not remove the rear bumper and said it took like 2 hours.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Ok I must admit I am very confused now.
My dealer would sell me a PSE for a great price but said installation is about 8 hours because of the wiring and removing the rear bumper.
This took me by complete suprise because I am certain I have read here at Rennlist that some of you installed PSE with NO wires whatsoever and did not remove the rear bumper and said it took like 2 hours. I told my dealer that I wanted JUST the mufflers with NO interior switch. They said there was still vacuum lines to install and wires going to the E throttle and ECU and or throttle body.
What is the real deal
And then the dealers wonder why they get such a bad reputation.
I had the dealer in Marin county quote me $1600 to install ROW 030 suspension. How stupid to they actually think we are?
Tim
I'm sure they'd give you a great deal on PSE for the opportunity to charge you $1,000 for installation! Tell them you'll take the great deal, and go to an independent shop where it will cost about an hour's labor to have just the mufflers installed.
Dealer is full of BS. The vacuum tubes are not installed when you don't need the switch. It is not necessary to remove the bumper, in fact, its not necessary to remove the wheels. It is no more than an hour or so job.
Buy the PSE from Brandywine - $1,500 - and install it yourself or have a local muffler shop do it (since you obviously can't trust your dealer to do it.
Most important - Get PSE! - I love mine every single day.
The vacuum lines are ONLY installed when the switch is needed so they can "vacuum" the valves to the position that turns off PSE and has the cans run as regular ones.
Your dealer is full of crap.....they don't expect most poeple to come in looking to get something installed that have any sort of knowledge or a resource like the message boards. They assume you to be the Pcar owner that says "how much"....they tell you "their" price and then you naturally say ok not wanting to look cheap owning a Pcar. Damn I hate the dealer!!!
I really appreciate all of your input. I will either get PSE from Brandywine or a Fabspeed now when I can afford it and me and my friend will install it. Thanks so much all
SYMA, don't be confused. As others have said, your dealer is incorrect. The PSE mufflers are a straightforward install sans electronics (always open mode).
Each muffler install involves 3 bolts on the bracket holding the muffler, and two "clamps". The muffler inflow attaches to the post-cat clamp, and the muffler outflow attaches to the exhaust tip clamp. That's it. 3 bolts and two clamps later and you're done with one side.
Removing the rear wheel during the install is not necessary, but I find that it makes the install much easier by allowing more room to work up under the car, and it creates a little more space when maneuvering the muffler into the correct position.
Good luck
