Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Replace thing yet' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace thing yet' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Sold the C2 and bought an '01 TT 2 weeks ago. Just getting around to posting a picture.
The difference is astounding. Not just the acceleration, but the handling. The stock suspension is awesome (except for the excessive understeer). Much stiffer swaybars than my C2 and feels like more damping in the shock absorbers. I really don't want to change a thing yet. Maybe after getting on the track.
The chassis and cockpit is also a bit stiffer than my '99 but not a huge difference. Less rattles for sure.
And back to the power.....wow....this thing flies. However, its so easy to drive it in stop and go traffic. The clutch is lighter and smoother. You can drive it like a Honda, or unleash the beast and drive it like a race car.
A question on the PSM (which I didn't have on my '99). While driving pretty hard over a mountain road, the PSM kicked in a few times when there wasn't even any oversteer or understeer. During a turn with some undulations in the road is where is usually occurrs. It taps the front brakes. Is this normal? During heavy understeer, it doesn't even kick in.
Nice upgrade! Do you miss the soft top? I'm considering doing the same but I'm not sure I can live without the drop top and I can't quite bankroll the '04 TT yet.
Congrats.
re new car: Congratulations!
re PSM: were you braking during the turn? That would cause PSM to kick in.
You should brake before the turn and get on the power slowly during the turn.
re Coupes being better than Cabs: No way!!!
I love the 01 TT with the ugly bumparettes removed. DId you do it or did the previous owner? Either way, I still to this day don't understand why Porsche insisted on putting them on.
Great looking car. I will probably start the search next year for one to add to my current CAB...that way I can have drop top and *** kicking power at choice!
Jake,
The PSM has like 18 sensors that monitor slippage at the wheels along with yaw, amount of gas or brake you're giving it, and which direction you're turning, bla, bla ,bla. Could be the undulations where causing a feeling of loss of traction as flew over them. You can always turn it off...
That said, I've actually gotten air, just a little, and never had it kick in. Could it be bad sensor?
Oh yeah, and congrats on the SWEEEEEETTTTT new ride!
They didn't insist on putting them on. When the TTs got here, they held the cars at the port because it did not meet 5mph impact regulations, so Porsche did a damn good job IMHO of coming up with something almost overnight that was cheap and could be retrofitted without having to incur the cost of having the cars all sent back to the factory. Either way, once it all blew over they stopped putting them on altogether and that was that.
Leon,
You know me better than that! I wasn't braking during the turn. I had even throttle going.
And.....Coupes rule SUCKA! Except when you're handing out Cubans....then cabs rule!
Later,
Jake
