I�m now trying to adjust the screw through the wheel nut hole with a flat screwdriver, but nothing happens.

Suggestion

Take off rotor, tighten adjuster 3 clicks, put rotor back on and spin, repeate this process until rotor wont go back on, then back off 3 clicks.

Hi there! I�m trying to adjust my handbrake because I had to fully pull the lever for it to do anything, which was a bit annoying. But it doesn�t seem to work� so I�ve jacked up the car, took off the rear wheels and released and loosened the hand brake cable in the center console. I�m now trying to adjust the screw through the wheel nut hole with a flat screwdriver, but nothing happens. I can adjust it fully towards the left or right (the adjuster sits at 3 o clock opposite to my caliper) until it can no longer move, but in either position I can still freely move the brake disc. I�m positive that the adjuster is moving, because I applied a tiny bit of paint to one of the notches to be able to see that I�m actually moving the adjuster. Any ideas what I�m doing wrong?

A lot. 50-ish? Possibly more. In fact in one direction it might be limitless -- until the adjuster falls in two.

Take off rotor, tighten adjuster 3 clicks, put rotor back on and spin, repeate this process until rotor wont go back on, then back off 3 clicks. When u adjusted the star wheel with the wheel on did u try to spin the tire? U can adjust the star wheel long past tight. There is also an adjustment under the armrest. Lift armrest, empty the cubby, remove rubber mat, remove rear scew and pull out the plastic panel. U will see the adjustment rod.
