Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
Whether or not this applies to the east coast is debatable, but on the West coast, most Porsche dealers will match the TireRack price for a tire, and change about $25 for mounting and road force balancing.

The difference is that your Porsche dealer uses "Genuine Porsche" K-Y Jelly before they slam your a$$!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

no difference.....it is the:........ " I am a official dealer and like to **** my clients over, charge them extra so next time (or even this time, hopefully) they will tell me to KMA (kiss my ***) and go to Mr. Tire where I get the same tire and better service"....... marketing plan, which in this day and age doesn't make any sense!!!!.
$900 for two rear tires is crazy! I just paid $1,250 for a set of four Pirelli P-Zero Rosso Assimetricos (225/40 18" front and 285/30 18" rear), road force balanced and mounted. I used Tirevan (
www.tirevan.net
) and they delivered the tires to my office and did all the work while I continued to work indoors. They took about an hour and a half. I highly recommend them.
What brand of tires did you get washington DC porsche? Next time go to Paul at Radial Tires by Silver Spring and he'll take care of you at a reasonable price. They give PCA discounts too.
I ordered the Assimmetrico's from Mr.Tire for $280 each installed. I want a new set of 4 different brand (Yokohama's) but I don't see the sense of throwing away 2 perfectly good front tires. Silver Sprizle is 30+ miles from me especially since I need the tires by Saturday.
Doesn't matter, Radial Tire is worth it. Paul is a good guy with the best prices, not to mention he doesn't hire guys who don't care. He takes great pride in the fact that the guys who have been with him for I forget how many years all own their own home. Plus, he has the non-marring european weights that won't mess up your wheel, and he's a BMWCCA driving instructor. More BMWs and Porsches go their than anywhere else. Oh, and the guys working their don't look at you funny when you tell them how many lb-ft to tighten the lug nuts to.
Oh, and if you plan on having the tires put on on a Saturday, get their EARLY (call and ask them how early, IIRC it's like 20 minutes before opening time.
Two things. One, which dealer suggested a price of $900? Second, I second Radial Tire-I deal with Sam there, but they are the effin best. Period. Full stop.
Radial Tire sounds good but for convenience TireVan can't be beat -- they come to you! No more waiting in a cheesy lounge drinking crappy coffee and reading 10 year old magazines.

For example, I put 2 new 285/30-R18 Michelin Pilot Sport Rib N1 rear tires on the 996 and paid $303 each for the tires, and $25 ea for mounting & balancing.
It would seem that you should be able to do at least as good.
I decided to try
www.tirevan.net
. Total cost $606 "out the driveway" + $30 return fee. What's a $30 return fee you ask? Well after being wowed that I wouldn't have to be home to have this work done there was no reminder by tirevan to me to leave available the wheel lock. So in order to get them to return today I had to pay an additional $30 fee. There's not even mention of a return fee on their web page. I'm pissed about the $30 fee but pleased with the work.
I am glad you liked TireVan. I am sorry you had to pay the $30 return fee. I always have them come to my office (my cabriolet is a daily driver) and the first thing they ask me when I take the car out to the outside parking lot (I am in a secure garage) is the wheel lock key. I am sure I would forget to leave the key out too if they came to my house to work on the car when I am not around.
