Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It is a small sliver of a crack and there doesn't seem to and deformation of the bumper itself. Buddy told me it could be repaired...What do you guys think?

POST 2Original post

Sorry to hear about this. Any pics of the bumper? Have it checked out at your favorite body shop. It always amazes me what these guys are able to do. Class Auto in Long Beach has always taken good care of my car's needs.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

no pics yet, I will try and post some in a bit...

POST 4Original post

I had the same thing happen (small, maybe 2" crack in paint, right on the corner) and took it to one of those dent guys near my place. He just smoothed and repainted the small section. My car is black though, so not a big deal, blended right in.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

cool, thanks. How much did he charge you?

POST 6Original post

Mine was hit in a similair spot, but on the front left corner. 30 days after I got the darned thing. Took all the wind out of my sails. Anyway, I had a mobile guy come and sand and paint that spot. It is not concourse, but I would say 95% and he charged me around $400. Mine is black also.

POST 7Original post

I think I paid around $175, left it there for the day, all fixed.

POST 8Original post

Sorry about the damage - However, you are lucky - you have Spectrum Collision in your back yard. http://www.spectrumcollision.com/index.htm They will do a factory perfect job for you - better than a patch and spray IMHO The patch jobs often re-appear months/years later. I've used them twice - simply stunning bodyshop. Chris.
