Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thinking of getting some 18" Victor Innsbruck rims in matte black to put on my 2004 40th AE. Any thoughts? This is a street car I just hate the chrome look of the factory rims I have on now and being silver I figure would look nice in matte. Was thinking going GT3 spec 18x8f and 18x11r? Anyone have them on thier car and can comment on finish (how matte are they? look a bit shine on thier website) Cheapest place to pick them up?

POST 2Original post

Quotes source post: 8786666

I think that they come in 19s and up, and I read on anther site that they are not making any more so you better get them now or you will be buying them used Try www.wheeldynamics.com I know they still have a few sets left

POST 3Original post

I like mine. I have the gt3 sizing as well 8x18 8x11.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What size tires are those on your car? I believe GT3 spec rims are 18x8.5 40mm offset front and 18x11 63mm offset rear. The Victor website shows the offsets on the Innsbrucks as 45mm for the front and 55mm for the rear. What size tires should I run? I currently run 235/40 18x8 50mm offset front and 295/30 on 18x10 65mm offset rear. Car is stock height but I may wish to go with x74 down the road. I just don't want rubbing issues but at same time would love to fill out the wheel well. Also, does Victor offer matching finish metal center caps with a Porsche crest? I have seen some black ones online but they do not seem to match the Innsbrucks based on the the images online its hard to really tell color / how matte they really are.

POST 5Original post

I went with them after looking at a lot of wheels. My critera was light weight, easy to clean, good quality, nice looking, and black. Also important was ability to use oe type spherical lug bolts and accept oe caps. The Innsbruck was my first choice. The finish is a satin or semi gloss black.

POST 7Original post

Quotes source post: 8790204

I was mistaken. I am not running the GT3 size. the fronts are 18X8 with 45MM offset and the back are 18X11 with a 55MM offset. You should run this size. As far as tires, I am running 225/40/18 fronts and 295/30/18 rears (Hankook Ventus V12 Evos) You do not want to run 295s if you intend to go with the X-74 suspension. with a 55MM offset and 295s, they won't fit with the X-74. Maybe a 285/30/18 slightly streched out over a 11 inch wide wheel is the way to make the x-74 work. They don't show on the discount tire direct website but you can call and order the wheels (and tires) from them. Nobody can touch their prices. I know, I checked. www.discounttiredirect.com Victor does not offer any other center caps other than there own. The caps that came with my wheels are white and black victor caps. I ordered the factory center caps in black from Sonnen Porsche ( www.porscheoemparts.com ). The caps are slightly more glossy than the wheels but you don't really notice (unless of course the flash on your camera goes off and highlights the difference).

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well I see Victor has an 18x10.5" w/ 55mm offset option on thier site as well. Would that be the way to go on 295's? How the heck to the 996 GT-3's roll the larger rims 11" and tires on same body? Some guys on the GT3 forums are even running widder 305's and 315's. Is the x74 lower than a 996 GT3? Tried calling them but got endless loop on and just reffers you to dealers. You are right good deal on them at discount tire

POST 9Original post

Quotes source post: 8793749

The issue is the offset on these wheels. My OE wheels are the sport designs and are 18x10 with a 65MM offset. The victor wheels give a very agressive look to a narrow body 996. If the victors were 11 inches wide and a 65MM offset, you could run a larger tire with the X-74 without issue. With the victor rims I am running a full inch wider and 10MM "further out" towards the sheet metal of the car. The x-74 suspension is super agressive and I believe it lowers your car more than a factory 996 GT3 setup. If you are shooting for the 10.5 inch wide innsbrucks, I think 285 would be ideal. Remember, a bigger tire usually means more weight. The Hankook 295/30/18s are 30lbs a piece! Just for the tire! The 285 version is 27lbs.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for all the help and feedback fella's. My last question I promise as I need to place order so I can get that sweet deal from Discount Tire. Should I go: 1. Innsbrucks at 10"x18" ET50 w/285 rear vs. OEM 10"x18" ET65 2. Innsbrucks at 10.5"x18" ET55 w/295 rear vs. OEM 10"x18" ET65 Car is an x51 2004 and I am looking to do x74 down the road. I used these wheel and rim offset calculators others may find them helpful: http://www.1010tires.com/wheeloffsetcalculator.asp http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp

POST 11Original post

not sure of the cost on those wheels but lately I have seen many 996 cars, especially gt3, with the OZ ullegerita: front: 8.5x40x18 rear: 11x63x18 They are priced right I think, around $400 a piece at tirerack.

POST 12Original post

Check this thread for further discussion and pictures. Innsbrucks are lighter than OZ Alleggeritas. I'm running 11x18" et55 at rear with MPSC 295/30-18's...GT3 coilovers set to Kussmaul height.

POST 13Original post

Quotes source post: 8810441

I'd go 10.5x18 with the 55 offset. 50MM is just too low. that's 15MM closer to the sheetmetal on a rim that is 1/2 wider. I'd also go 285 on the 10.5 as that is more than enough tire for the application and will also help with the X-74 upgrade. To answer your question from before, I think the Gt3 wheels are 18x11 with a 63MM offset, allowing for nice low suspensions without problem.

POST 14Original post

As per request, rear fitment pic, 11x18" et55 with 295/30-18 MPSC.

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK, guys pulled the trigger and picked up the Victor Innsbruck rims in black. Went with the 18x8" front and 18x10.5" rears. So now I need center caps and black bolts. Questions: 1. What are size are the center caps for the Victor Rims? OEM will fit I assume? 2. What length are OEM bolts? 3. Where can I get black OEM bolts? Opinions: Should I go with silver or gold crest on black caps? Car is Carrera GT Silver but hood crest is gold. I would like to find ALL flat black center but so far not found any.

POST 16Original post

Quotes source post: 8832788

OEM size, and OEM's fit. You always can paint those Victor's own caps to flat black and attach four 997 GT2RS hood emblems to them...

POST 17Original post

Quotes source post: 8813074

nice im about to order up some 18x10.5 victor innsbrucks here for my c2. did you have to do anything special to make the 11.0 fit? i imagine youd need a new set of rear tires to make them fit over vs the 10.0 stock rims.

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think the 11" stick out just bit too far on a narrow body as the Victors have really aggressive offset. I have used 285 and 295 and both fit fine no rub on 10.5" even now lowered with x74 suspension.
