I ended up filling the original and redrilling to suit the P-car.
Leading evidence: 'Fill original and redrilling' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'gold standard' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Fill original and redrilling' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

B&M SSK is probably the gold standard for our cars.

Suggestion
Keep in mind, the car is plenty capable, right from the factory...so much so with the right driver (not me...yet) ....note: my car has passed more than one GT3 at Watkins (I was a shotgun witness with a huge, sh*t *** grin) when my coach drove the living hell out of my baby (he said only 9 /10th's gulp)...so really safety is the big factor...then the single greatest variable is the driver and his/her experience level........(I was in white run group with similiarly situated drivers and my coach blew by (with pass signals) two GT3's in uphill locations (read as the toe of the boot).

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi
Two weeks I purchased a 2003 Porsche 911 C2 with 62k miles and could not be happier with the buy.
It has the sport 18" wheels, Bose system (no nav), 6speed,
Gray with black interior.
I want to get some mods done to enhance it a bit.
On order is a pair of smoked side markers and center caps for the wheels since they need to be replaced.
Does anyone know what iPod/aux cable I can get to play songs off my phone.
I'm also looking into suggestions on intake, exhaust (leaning towards Darin's), headers, suspension (I see a lot just swap to H&R springs)
I defense tell want to add a screen for nav and back up camera
Suggestions? I hear the Kenwood has a nice one
I will also add a small amp/sub to the factory Bose stereo.
Thanks in advance for all your replies
I live in Conroe just north of Houston
Gerardo
Can definitely recomend FisterDs exhaust. Others will pipe in on intake options(mine is stock). Suspension choices are many...try doing a search on options.
Exactly! I was on the 101 in Scottsdale on Saturday and the tent for the Russo and Steele Auction is just 100 yards south of the Freeway. As I passed by I got on the throttle and I could see all the necks turn. I doubt they could see my car...but they heard it.
Yeah I was planning on adding an amp/sub to the fac Bose stereo
Also would like to add a screen on the bottom apart from the stereo and use it strictly for nav and maybe a backup camera
I wasn't interested in slamming my Porsche since I use it in the winter, and wanted to stick with a Porsche OEM choice. I bought it from a Rennlister used for $325. If I was looking now though, I would opt for the ROWM030 instead of the USM030 for a slight drop in ride height. That said, I love the improvement over stock. Hope that helps.
hahahahaha
oh -
that's funny
anyhow noob, post some pics so KK doesnt blow his motor p over revving in nuetral
and welcome - you might want to get to know the car nd what it has, can do an is designed for you when ou opt for mods you make tasteful choices
all the best
Welcome:
nice ride, great dog and sharp Tundra.....I am thinking about a tow vehicle upgrade........(i.e., Tundra). I can not say enought great things about Fister D's. B&M SSK is probably the gold standard for our cars. As for suspension, depends on what you intend to do (track vs. street)....as for headers....I believe that you car already has them from the factory (save some buks there). I also wouldn't bother with any re-chipping as a N?A car won't really see much of a gain. If you decide to make engine mods, then the ECU flash might be worth it. GL and enjoy. Don't forget about safety....again depending on what you want to do...that will determine what safety items should be on your short list.
Thanks Country911,
I got lucky and found the Tundra with the TRD SC and it hauls ***!
how do you like your suspension set-up and where did you get all your parts from?
As for use of the car, it will be my weekend car but i plan on taking some driving classes and maybe taking it to the track a couple of times a year. also I have not thought about safety, what would you suggest?
thanks for all your input

Hey I looked at that one!!!!! (it was at "Drive with Pride" )
You must have bought it right around the time that they lowered the Buy It now price on Ebay?
Congrats on the purchase.

LOL, I was referring to the spammer not the OP. I think his post got deleted before most of you saw it. Not the first time hes done it. Sorry, I should have clarified it was directed at the spammer.
To the OP: Great car.
G:
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my suspension set-up!....but my car is more and more track focused...even thought it does get street time. It rides stiff, but that is okay for me. I got my coilovers from and RL'er, bought one sway from an RLer, had to pay full retail for the other.....drop links were also acquired part RL, part custom.....be patient, there will be someone making some upgrades, whether it is Moton, JIC. JRZ, MCS, K&W, etc., they will come around, just be patient and keep on your toes and keep your eyes peeled in RL parts marketplace and for RL Fore sale, you migh talso want to check out 6speed (many of the same "players") my opinion, RL is much better, but that is simply my opinion.
As for safety, again it depends on how you want to drive the car. Once you start spending more time at the track, get a good fire extinguisher and mounitng bracket A good helmet (not a cheap helmet) one that fits well is a must, period....after that, think about perhaps a harness bar, and maybe seats + harnesses. If you really get into tracking, then a roll bar and seats and harnesses, brake coolling etc., be forewarned it is a very slippery slope .....
It was incredible.........to be able to experience that momentum and driver skill.
So, decide what you want to do, what you are willing to do to accomplish that goal ($$$) and then go for it. GL and enjoy the path
3cyltrbo
You are correct I did buy it from Drive with Pride around the time when the price was lowered.

I will keep an eye on the RL FS but I'm warning you I'm very impatient
Looking into the Bilstein PSS10s suspension but its a ill pricey. Is it worth it?
Any suggestions on the nav screen?
Thanks
G
G:
Patience is a virgin, its never ben tried! As for shocks, etc., what is right for you will depend on your $$$ and what you want, intend to do with the car. Are Bilsteins good, generally, yes, but it depends on the application. As for nav, you're on your own, no help there from me.GL
I have the following on order:
997 SSK from Suncoast
PSS10 from FDMotorsports
Also Mike Callas @ Rennsport has ordered a new cat and exhaust system from Germany. He will be installing all including the PSS10 which he recommended.
I can't wait to have it all done!
Will post pics once completed.

Still looking for an audio installer in the Houston/Woodlands area to install a nav screen...
Gmoneys you need to come out to one of the Lone Star PCA GTG. We have one every Saturday. This big one is this Saturday the 2nd at 249 and Louetta. It is the Houston Cars and Coffee. About 1200 car show up.
http://coffeeandcarshouston.com/
You need to get there between 6:30am an 7am if you want to park with the other P cars. The others are a lot smaller and start around 8:30am.
www.lsrpca.com
Hope to see you out there.
There should ~40 p cars that show up. New friends are always welcome. Just get there early. You go in the main entrance. Keep going straight until you can only turn left or right. We will be down there on the right. I try to get there by 6:30.
G'day G,
If you're still looking for a nav/camera solution, I can suggest the camera that comes with the licence plate light from ebay. I purchased one for a skoda and the dimensions are identical. The only mod was the mounting screws. I ended up filling the original and redrilling to suit the P-car. Very inconspicuous.
Regarding head unt/nav the options are endless, I ended up going with Kenwood and placed the nav unit where the CD changer was for easy access to the SD slot for updates etc.
Hope that helps.
Cheers
PK
BTW-Nice Ride
Thank for the tip P-Kay, I will look into those for sure.
Well I drove to Rennsport this morning to drop off my car, I can't wait to get it back with the PSS10 suspension, 997 ssk, FVD exhaust & cats!!
Can't wait to get it back, I know Mike Callas will do a great job!
