Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

i'm getting new turbo motor mounts and a transmission fluid change tomorrow at 9!
I'll update the difference when i get home...
Anything else i need to know before i go? It's being done at Leith Porsche....an 03 coupe...
got the updates....my driver's side exhaust tip is still 3/4" lower than the passenger side....leith said they or i, can adjust it up... didn't really notice that much difference in the turbo mounts...they WERE about 1/2 shorter than the old ones though...the trans SEEMS to shift smoother, but we'll see...highway miles on the way home....i'll drive it in the morning in the 30 deg. weather and hopefully ( i feel it will) it will shift better then
were the old mounts the original ones? also how many miles were on the old mounts?
maybe u didnt feel a diference with the new mounts because the old ones werent that bad after all..
yep...the old mounts were the originals in it....they had 109,000 miles on them...the new turbo mounts were 1/2 inch shorter than the old ones...all highway miles on the way home..but now that i've driven it some i can tell a difference in the shifting AND the "clunk" that sometimes happened (like at a stop light, putting it into 1st) has gone away!!! Trans mount coming next!
Yea nice... I come from the bmw world.. 600hp e36 turbo all done.
Trans and engine mounts were easy to do, with porsche is a royal pain with the tranny mount
I don't think you'll notice much with a turbo mount...I would have gone semisolid....
I'm not sure what year yours is but have fun with the tranny mount....I'll need to do mine again...properly this time and the tranny needs to be dropped and have the tranny mount pressed out. Luckily there are a few options now on the tranny mount where you don't have to have anything pressed in anymore
i didn't notice much at all with the turbo mounts...you're right...but, it needed to be done....i think there are 3 trans mounts....like you said , the one that has to pressed in and a trans carrier that has one on each side (of the carrier)... i think....i'm sure i'll be corrected shortly!
