If not that, maybe a battery disconnect/reset, although I'm not sure all the resetting procedures for seats and windows, etc.

If this is partial throttle, its probably normal on cam timing change due to variocam+ which occurs in all 3.6L cars and is NOT exclusive to X51.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey, just picked up an 04 Anniversary edition with X51 power pkg. I am experiencing major lag/flat spot in the fueling/throttle delivery at just under 3K rpm and . It doesn't seem to matter the gear, but is more noticeable in lower gears... extremely annoying. Any ideas? I think I'll check the TB and ensure it is clean. If not that, maybe a battery disconnect/reset, although I'm not sure all the resetting procedures for seats and windows, etc. Thanks for any ideas.

POST 2Original post

If this is partial throttle, its probably normal on cam timing change due to variocam+ which occurs in all 3.6L cars and is NOT exclusive to X51. If this is under full throttle, you may have something wrong. Here's a link with X51 dyno plots. Under full throttle, your power should be smooth with X51 https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...ml#post8674498 On the other hand, congrats on your 40th AE. What serial number? Post pics if you mod it!

POST 3Original post

I have a 40th and on neutral to light throttle it stubles a little, but I wouldnt describe it as lag. I noticed it more when I just got the car but not som much now that I must have gotten used to it.
