I have found what could be the one in North County SD - but I want a PPI done by a shop that will open up the oil filter and also run an oil analysis - any recommendations greatly appreciated!!!

Although I haven't used them for a PPI, I had a buddy use Black Forrest. You could also try Pioneer Porsche on Miramar Rd. Black Forrest is good, and Pioneer is one of the biggest dealers in town, so either may be able to do the filter and send it off to an analysis lab. I ended up finding my car in Riverside county, so did the PPI up there.

opening up the filter & replacing it is no big deal. any shop will do this and can do a visual on the old filter,(u should too) however all will have to send the oil out for analysis, which is quite another process. call & see if Black Forrest or Dieter's or Konig in O'side will collect the oil & u can send it out yourself to Blackstone labs.(call or go on-line they'll send u a shipping bottle) Fairly inexpensive compared to anything to do w porsche in this area. All shops mentioned have good reps-

If you're willing to make it to South OC I would goto Hergesheimer in Lake Forest. They're the best.
