Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

They changed from year to year and you pretty much need the order order guide from each model year to identify them.
Leading evidence: 'Replace from year' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace from year' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Is the a site that lists interior codes? I have a 99 996 with the interior code of BF, the exterior is L92U which I believe is arctic silver.
Thanks
Eck
92U is Arctic Silver
BF is one of the brown family codes (I think)
Can you post a pic of your option sticker? I have the full list of interior codes but don't see BF anywhere.
L92U is arctic silver. Not sure about your interior. Here's a chart from Pelican:
996 Interior Color Codes
Color Interior Color Code
Black 8YR, VRJ or A11
Graphite Grey C50 or C51
Savannah S30 or S31
Metropol Blue G10 or G11
Nephrite J30 or J31
Boxster Red M30 or M31
Cinnamon Brown P11
Natural Dark Grey Leather D11
Natural Brown Leather T11
Welcome to the board, finally. Your first post since 2005? You must be related to Tim.
Can you re-check... I just looked through Porsche 996 The Essential Companion and could not find that code anywhere. Interior material colours are all 3 characters. Two characters represent colour combination and covering codes, but there is no BF
Damn guys, you are helping this Newbie after he has one (yeah that's right , 1) post that does NOT have a pic in it????? And only after 10 replys does someone think about pics? Then, finally, I get the "Let's just leave it to Tim to clean up our mess!!!" I thought I raised you guys better than that!!!
Bawhahahah! THAT was fun!!!!
Ahem <Tim clears his throat>
ECK,
Welcome to Rennlist. It is customary for Newbies to tell us a little about their car and to post pics of the car. So consider this next sentence your "Newbie Initiation!"
Come on, Newbie.... post the @#$%^&* pics!
Please know that this is all meant in good fun, but we do like our pics!
Again welcome to Rennlist!
And that's why I fixed it within 30 seconds of posting it... Instead to simply posting that it is incorrect it tends to be more helpful to indicate why...
So we are supposed to monitor your postings AFTER they have been posted to make sure you have corrected incorrect information during an ongoing conversation???
No worries. The OP got the correct info.
Okay, sorry guys it is raining out so no exterior shots today. Here is the vehicle ID sheet, it says BF that is why I've been scratching my head. THis is my first shot at posting photos via photobucket so it may or may not work. Thanks for the help.

Those letters are the option codes used in the model year order guides. They changed from year to year and you pretty much need the order order guide from each model year to identify them. Porsche did not start producing order guides in PDF until MY2003 so you would need to find someone with an old hard copy.
I agree looks like Space Gray.
