Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

34 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I always thought the guy didn't survive. But now this I just found shows the worst off guy surviving. I wonder if that wing that lands under the marshalls and officials tower is still useable? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Qphc...eature=related

POST 3Original post

Hell, he probably has already done a test fit it on his car!

POST 4Original post

Amazing they both survived. How the hell do you run a race when you can't see 2 feet in front of you? What good is it to wave the yellow flag if no one can see it?

POST 5Original post

whats amazing is how long they ignored the second guy who is struggling all the way to the end in removing his @#%$# smoking helmet! John

POST 6Original post

remind me never to race in japan. That is the slowest response to an accident i have ever seen. Plus, they could care less about the Ferrari guy on the floor.

POST 7Original post

Damn Asian drivers! (My ex always loved that joke) But seriously, what bad luck, the second car was like a heat seeking missile! Glad the second driver survived. He must have woke up and thought he was blind. Ed, I got dibs on those wheels!

POST 8Original post

I remember seeing that a long time ago but never saw the ending... I would not have ever imagined anyone would have got out of that Ferrari breathing.

POST 9Original post

Old video.... Let me know when you have one of a "Good Crash"

POST 10Original post

can someone help me... i got this wing off ebay, but cant figure out how to moount it.... and how to you paint over "flamed surfaces" Kyle... you keep buying tires you are gonna regret it!!!

POST 11Original post

I agree with the comments above. Whose ego made the decsion to run the race in that weather? Where were the fire extinguishers? Why did they allow the Ferreri driver to even stand up. No one tended to him. It is amazing they required the drivers to wear suits and helmets.

Anything involving a BMW.....(except an E30 M3)....did I ever get around to telling you that I have a distaste for bmws... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyO19...eature=related

POST 13Original post

Quotes source post: 7362701

Yeah, I like how the worker just patted him on the helmet "you'll be all right", and then the poor guy falls over backwards, crikey! Then they all throw the guy in a van like a sack of potatoes. The video should have followed the van driver as he drove out for sushi.

POST 17Original post

The driver's name was Tetsuya Ota. He survived with severe burns, and there was a huge controversy afterward about the actions of the officials. They obviously acted like total f*&%ing idiots. They say that they initially ignored his car because they just automatically assumed he was dead. Here's Mr. Ota post-accident. He wears a prosthetic nose so he can maintain a somewhat normal appearance. Poor guy. :

POST 19Original post

Tires are bad things. Didn't someone at a drag race event die recently after being hit by a tire?

POST 22Original post

yea maybe, but according to this site death seems to be happening anyhow LINKY LINK

POST 24Original post

awe thie internet..... source of happiness what's interesting (if you can say that about it) is how small of a problem somethings that are "hot topics" in the news are when compared to some other things that we just dont hear about... that site was found by my son when he was doing some homework. I really think it is good, but questions the accuracy for example compare gonorrhoea to traffic accidents is 2:1, yet its not in the news at all malaria is 20:1... whenis the last time you saw "breaking news" over that? good morning sunshine

POST 27 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Protective gear is a must if you are going to race. Even good fire gear in a daily driver is a must. It would be nice if everybody never had to go through things going drasticly wrong.

Can someone tell me what the F was happening at the 2:27 mark with the motorcycles going up the hill? It looked like ppl were hanging out at the top of the hill to help the riders over. Weird Al = Genius

POST 31Original post

Quotes source post: 7363430

I'd say that the blue lights under his BMW must have reflected off of the wet surface while he was doing his poorly executed dounuts and drifts. He must have felt like a total *** after that trick. Quite a driver I'd say.

POST 32Original post

Quotes source post: 7371994

bored, drunk people who cant ride, standing out in the middle of a desert waiting to help strangers - would be my guess the motorcycle at 0:58 is just too freeking funny !

POST 33Original post

The guy in the Race is lucky to be alive. And It is amazing at how slowly the officials reacted to the accident. I will say that we are all better off because of the way that cars are made these days it says quite a bit about the vehicles in that people can be in such severe accidents and be able to survive in some instances. I watch F1 Racing and I am always happy to see the drivers walk away from some of the accidents that they go thru, but on the upside it trickles down and over time it makes more cars safe.) As far as the idiot in the BMW in the rain, I think that video pretty much says it all. I am not sure what he was thinking, but I am pretty sure he wasn't thinking at all? I wonder what excuse he gave the police, especially since he had a video of him ramming into the back of the truck anyways? (IMHO, some people are just too stupid to really exist. and this guy was a prime example of of this.)

IIRC there is a vid of someone doing basicly the same thing to an Enzo....lack of experience, coupled with a gas pedal and a "need for speed" makes good disaster cake!
