Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just scored a set of manual sport seats in the correct colour for my car, on eBay. Can't wait to get them. This will bring me one step closer to my vision of a 996 you guys with would probably hate
ie. a stealthy, light and quick sports car for the street.
Question for anyone who has done this transplant: My car currently has the comfort seats with memory etc. Do you just leave the buttons for the original seats intact and dead? Or is it a big job to replace that trim panel with a plain one?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Yup, graphite grey. They're from a Boxster, via someone's 996 C@ track car. They don't look perfect, but I imagine the patina will be about the same as the rest of the interior. I don't find graphite ages that well.
I bought a 3 spoke black wheel for my car, it was "mint" and looked really out of place in my "slightly aged" savanna so I sold it to someone with a more pristine car.... I will look for one a little more "broke in"
I think your thought about matching is smart... too new looks out of place
Yes, in fact. I can't find my original source to give you an exact number, but the order of magnitude of difference between power comfort seats and manual sport seats is like 30 pounds or more.
I'm not on a campaign to lighten the car to the max, not by a long shot. I've actually even added weight in two areas: an amp for my stereo (mounted low in the front trunk) and a heavier battery. My thing is more about just purifying it, if that makes any sense. My car is a very, very plain, minimally optioned example.
Yeah, I know. I've seen guys get silly that way with bikes, too. As I said to the previous poster, I'm not going anywhere near a scale. It's just fun for me to make the car more focused-feeling. That's how I've chosen all my mods.
