Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Thanks guys, I did see that single hex bolt on each side of the assembly, looks kinda too easy, that is why my original question :-) It's good to double-check with you guys here.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Today I changed out a blown tail light/brake light bulb, however, I noticed an empty tail light socket on the outter edge of the light assembly. Does anyone know why that socket isn't used?

POST 2Original post

fog light... not necessary on US cars. Totally normal...

POST 3Original post

fog light works on drivers side. They also have one on the other side with a bulb but it doesn't actually work.

Sorry for this naive question, but is there any trick or "gotcha" to remove the rear tail-lights? Thanks...

On my 2000, there is 1 hex type of bolt locking the assembly in place. You see it once you open the engine compartment.

Botsy, just an FIY.... the engine compartment is in the rear!
