I'm reading the difference may be when they changed from the single spoke sprocket, to the dual spoke.

Having 70k miles, I am wanting to replace the Intermittent Shaft Seal(s)(IMS) also.

I have acquired the dreaded RMS failure on my 2002 996 that has corrupted my clutch. Having said that, I have ordered a clutch kit, flywheel seal(RMS), slave cylinder, super blue fluid. Having 70k miles, I am wanting to replace the Intermittent Shaft Seal(s)(IMS) also. IMS requires oil change, so I've read. I am running into a question, I am finding both an O-ring and a seal for the IMS. So which do I get and how many. Is there one of each or just preferences?
