That's why I installed a microwave unit under the bumper.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

This morning I entered the Lincoln Tunnel (NYC) with two other C4S Cabs--one silver, one lapis, and my own midnight blue. What are the odds of that happening at exactly the same time? I suppose this car is not so unique after all! I noticed the silver cab had "Parktronic" plugs in the bumper. When did Porsche start offering that option? IMHO it defaces an otherwise pretty bumper...
I am the second owner of a 99 C2 Cab and it has the Parktronic as an option. Kind of nice at times, but I probably would not order it as an option if I had purchased it new.

I agree about the park assist... really ugly's up the bumper.
What time was this? I almost took my C4S Cab into work today and I take the tunnel... will be taking it in tomorrow and Wednesday (62 and 67 degrees!!), now that would have been interesting.

BTW--I stopped at Paul Miller on Saturday to get my oil changed (9500 miles), and they had a beautiful '05 C4S coupe in seal grey with Sport Techno wheels in the showroom. There was an OEM piece on the right side of the front console next to the batwing which looked like a holder for a phone--does anyone know anything about this option?
the new generation of park assist (offered on later 9x6s) is very small compared to the old generation,
they look like small, recessed indents on the bumper, instead of the old type which looked like 4 large oval shaped warts.
I installed the "rear obstacle sensing system" or ROSS manufactured by Audiovox. I don't have much time tonight, but i will post some pictures soon and try to find the store from which I ordered it. In the meantime, here is a link to a store that sells the same system:

Not really. I mean, a purist would say why add weight to the cars, but it is very light and I have to park in the city all the time. Also, it has a large range that is not adjustable, but it recalibrates each time you put it in reverse. As such, I start backing up, when I get the solid sound it means I am about 2 feet away, so I pop it out of reverse for a second and then right back in in order to recalibrate the distance and continue backing until I get solid again. You get used to it very quickly.
I think it is preferable to the stock unit because it is completely invisible, yet it has both audible and visual warnings.
