Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

One of the remodel contractors I used just bought an '03 TT from a friend of his......3500 miles, virtually no mods or add-ons (I know, it would have been better to have a few more miles on it)..he bought it for 83k.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm curious what you guys think. One of the remodel contractors I used just bought an '03 TT from a friend of his......3500 miles, virtually no mods or add-ons (I know, it would have been better to have a few more miles on it)..he bought it for 83k. I asked him how long he'd keep it, and he said probably 12-18 months.....makes me think that I shouldn't spend any more modding my '03 C4S, and wait for his ride.....based on what he paid, what do you think it'll be worth in 18 months, and is it worth waiting for?

POST 2Original post

First, he got a great price. I am looking at '01 & '02 TTs (currently at price points $72k & $80k for 25k mile type cars) with 18 month projections of $66.4k & $71k with 30k miles. These are conservative numbers, if the 997 TT is well received I think you could subtract another $4-5k off each.
