It is one piece. The boot is attached permanently with a black plastic tie-strap. The shift **** has a set-screw which requires a small allen wrench (I believe the standard shift know is only held by friction).

Thanks. I think Carnewal sells the parts separately so I was curious. I am looing at buying a slightly used one that is separate. I wonder if I can re-attach it with another plastic tie-strap or I am better off buying one that is attached as 1 piece? Thanks, Adam

Yes, it has the 6 speed pattern on it. I have seen it standard on some car. It has the Porsche crest on the bottom Adam
