When I was a kid I used to wax my old truck and I found if I waxed the windshield too, I could see when it rained (now people use rain-x, but it wears off and gets "sticky") But over the years I still occationally find myself tempted to wax windows...

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

has anyone tried putting Rejex on the windows and or windshield? When I was a kid I used to wax my old truck and I found if I waxed the windshield too, I could see when it rained (now people use rain-x, but it wears off and gets "sticky") But over the years I still occationally find myself tempted to wax windows... WhOOPS.. I just used Rejex on the windshield.. OMG its like WAY smooth I dont know how it will do in the sun (for clarity) rain with and w/o wipers on, or otherwise.... BUT the amount of drag I removed from the job might kick the top end up by 10 -15 IHP !! Might help side windows move up and down more freely (didnt do those - YET) I live in Seattle so the rain test should be soon... although I am not sure I will drive in the rain... YUKK... I hate to re-clean everything I already did... Anyone else done this? have thoughts? Ed

POST 2Original post

Yes. It works great. Rain sluices off wipers work better, bugs don't stick, etc etc etc And, you avoid the chance of marring the paint by means of spilled Rain-X (with it's acidic base).

POST 3Original post

Yes, by all means use Rejex on your glass and on your wheels. With a Rejex windshield, bugs will tend to bounce off the glass before they explode, making less bug goo residue. Plus with Rejex, the bugs that do stick will come right off with a wet rag.
