Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I noticed that the crest has fallen off of my rim cap (or whatever you call the center part of the rim)
My wife bought a set of 4 OEM at the Porsche stealer (250 bucks or so) about 2 years and about 18K miles ago.....
Is there a way to buy just one cap with crest or just the crest to place in the cap?
Anybody wants to buy a 996 cab tip with 3 wheel crests???
Can't you glue it back on?
I don't use colored caps on my car, but had a set arrive with my wheels - two of the crests came off and I just glued them back on without a problem... I don't remember what kind of glue I used, but it wasn't anything special, just something off the shelf at Home depot that said that it would glue metal to plastic.
Nicolaas,
That sucks!
You probably didn't know that the Porsche warranty covers the crests for 25K miles on a Manual 996, but only 15K miles on a 996 with a Tip!
damn I knew it..that dumb tip..makes everything difficult.
I would like to glue it back on...problem is I don't know where it fell off...maybe it was my cornering...NOT
or when I got another speeding ticket last week by the village people cop complete with ill fitting costume on his fat ars and large mustache on his dated bike.
You dont like tape?
GEEZ..., in my car it's ALL about the tape option!
Check out this part I picked up for cheap.. a little tape and it looks like new!! Anyone else have parts they dont want? I will be happy to work with them so they look "right"!!
