I checked with Tire Rack and tried to read some reviews but they don't seem to have any on the Yokos.

Tire Rack has been offering an incredible deal on these R compounds around $128 Us the only issue is that they dont offer the 285 size only the 265 I use them on my 2002 996 c-2 on the track and for a little over $500 you cannot beat them I have had no problem using the 265 mm size
Use pirelli corsas in 225/40-18 and 285/30-18 last spring/summer

I was using the Pirelli Corsas in 225/40-18 and 285/30-18 last spring/summer for street and weekend track events.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I posted this on the Wheel and Tire forum but had no responses. I was using the Pirelli Corsas in 225/40-18 and 285/30-18 last spring/summer for street and weekend track events. In Canada, the Corsas are extremely expensive compared to these A048s. Does anyone have any feedback on this comparison that they can share with me? I really liked the Corsas on the track but am open to other tires.
Thanks in advance.
I had Kumho V700's on my M3. Loved them. Great bang for the buck and lasted well into the next season. I have head nothing but good things about the Yok's. I am quite interested in giving them a try this year. However, the deals on the new Pirellis' and Dunlop's are awesome at the Tire Rack.
If you do go with the Kumho's I recommend getting them shaved first.
I guess in the end, there are a lot choices out there now. Let me know what you end up with.

I don't want the Kumhos (tried them once on a 996 and didn't really like them) and the Pirellis and Michelins are too pricey although I'll spend the amount if these don't compare. I checked with Tire Rack and tried to read some reviews but they don't seem to have any on the Yokos. Damn! The Pirellis were so nice and light too. 8 pounds lighter per tire compared to a crappy S03 (in 285/30-18). I wonder what the A048s weigh in at.

I guess the yokos are not that popupar with this crowd, I second the motion on the Dunlop Super Sport Race. Current prices are a steal. Caveat on longevity on these tires though. They really need to be heat cycled. Wore out my first set down to exposed cords in 3 days of continuous DE. Heat cycled, they last a lot longer.
