Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

That was the quote from my local dealer service guy....I guess he was right. Been finding small drops of oil just behind the passenger rear tire (and in about a foot). Today had a freah one and the CEL came on after about ten minutes of driving. Will take her in for a checkup next week, but wanted to hear your thoughts. Cars got 14.4k miles (I bought her in Oct with 12k). According to the computer on the dash, she's only down one bar (still at full reading) total on the oil level. Thoughts appreciated. I will let you know what the dealer says (and yes, you don't need to remind me I need a PC fault reader )

Mike, I had the same leak maybe 1 drop a day BUT on the left side. It had 12600mi when I took it to have the leak repaired under warranty. I'm not saying that this could be exact same problem with your's but these are the parts that they replaced: 996-104-203-00 SEALING RING FOR VALVE (2EA) 996-104-216-02 CYL HEAD COVER SLEEVE (1EA) 996-105-244-03 LID. HYD VALVE (1EA) 000-043-204-35 ADHESIVE SEALANT (1EA) 996-107-221-51 RUBBER O-RING (1EA) 996-104-215-54 CYL HEAD CUP SEAL (3EA) After they found where exactly the leak was, they had to order the parts. Brought the car back after they received them. Dropped it off in the morning and picked it up same afternoon, 1 day work.
