Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Install pics are really champion rg5's' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'same as you would get' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check these out' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suspected cause
FWIW mine have the Miglia 'm' on them, so they are probably the same as you would get from TR with less of a markup.

As a further FYI, the two pictures of Porsches are stolen from Wheel Enhancement (I recognize their blue block wall and, in fact, alerted them to this use of their pictures).
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Wheels look nice, but if not quality ie; forged or similar in strength plus hub-centric, walk away. You could easily bend one and our cars are sensitive to vibrations. Find out from the seller first.
A couple things I noticed (in addition to making sure you ask the questions Lou poiunted out).
1. The shipping is really high (especially from Miami to Nashville) Their .com website states shipping ranges from $99 for wheels only to $149 for wheel/tire packages. This seems to be the average across vendors yet they want $225 on eBay?
2. Take a serious look at this guys feedback.....LOTS of negatives about not getting what paid for, overcharge on shipping, long dealy in sending, and the list goes on. RED FLAGS!
Good pick-up Curt! Ever so slightly there IS a differnce. That's what happens when you buy knock-offs. He is using pictures of cars with the REAL DEAL wheels. What he is selling is the bad copies!
actually there is a big difference, look at the way the spokes terminate at the outer ends. A big difference in the engineering. Guess who spent less and has the weaker wheel...
I'm so glad to have the input from this forum....I didn't notice the difference in the wheels, and I probably would have gotten scammed if it weren't for you guys....when am I gonna learn not to try to save a buck and risk quality?????
I wasn going to confront the guy by email, but what would it accomplish? I read all the negative feedback on ebay, and all he does is deny, deny, deny....and he's gonna deny that the wheels are different in the pictures, and on the cars!!!!!
eBay doesn't do squat! Especially in fraud situations. I was watching a GT3 seat auction recently and didn't win so I pressed on. To my amazement, the exact same auction was posted days later by an overseas eBay'er and copied the wording, pics, everything from the Suncoast Porsche auction. By the way, this new scammer would only accept cash and woudln't return any emails and emanding immediate payment by wire.
I reported it to the fraud department and I got an email saying they might look into it and to not follow up since they would not release the results of their investigation. I only do business on eBay with reputable people that I investigate fully and just like Richard is doing here by getting unput from others. ALso, if they don't accept CC payments I don't even consider it since that is your last line of defense in fraud.
I actually bought a set of those for my snow tires this year, the quality is actually pretty good. He sold me the same set for 699$. I really had no problems with the guy, I called the owner directly seemed nice enough and the rims arrived well packed in a timely fashion. I guess I got lucky. I know what you mean about knockoffs, but for something low speed like snow it's no big deal, I would not put racing tires on them and chance the track however.
Just know that with your C4S, you will need spacers and longer bolts to clear the big red brakes, get ralph boothes set, it's the best.(6mm spacers and 38mm bolts should be good)
FWIW mine are forged and hubcentric, I still think it's a good deal for 699 for an alternate set of rims ,after all you don't need a brand new set of OEM sport technos for snow tires!
To be fair, the seller does state that they are original "style", not OEM. After reading the fine print he does state that pictures are for reference only and that some searches may yeild replicas. I don't think he is trying to scam but just offer an alternative to a particular style. I've used replicas in the past to great avail. Heck, if you look at my avitar, those are Sportline replicas I aquired on Ebay. In fact the whole car is a replica that runs 944 turbo suspension pieces and brakes, but that is another story.
You get what you pay for but if careful may be a good thing. If you really like them, investigate further as to construction and the such. Good Luck.
I agree, they would be fine for a set of snow tires, except that in the snow, when you can have stuff burried under it that might cause a hard impact, if they failed, you might be wishing you had a stronger wheel, but that issue aside they would prob be fine for that, or for someone that putts around beverly hills or palm beach, that is just trying to achive a look rather than performance., but then again, anybody that knows will say "fakes" when they see them, kinda like wearing a fake Rolex, IMO...wheels are a critical piece of equipment, and there are pleny of good name brand aftermarket wheels that I would go with first...
Since you have a set, what do they weigh?
As a further FYI, the two pictures of Porsches are stolen from Wheel Enhancement (I recognize their blue block wall and, in fact, alerted them to this use of their pictures). The wheels shown on the cars are not what these guys are selling.
And furthemore, so he says they're "BBS LM1" style wheels which is in itself somewhat deceiving... the totally, completely unacceptable part is he's using real-deal BBS LM photos for his auction which is utterly ridiculous.
POS seller.
His wheel pics are not BBS LM's - similar but not the same. The installed pics are really Champion RG5's. In any case, I would not trust buying from this seller though I have no personal experience.
Mine weighed 27 and 28#. As far as knockoffs go, I believe when tire rack sells snow/wheel combos they are also Italian knockoffs, so I don't see how one is better than the other. FWIW mine have the Miglia 'm' on them, so they are probably the same as you would get from TR with less of a markup.
