SoCal guys, I've talked to a few friends at HRE and they're willing to open up shop on a Saturday to coincide with our "run" to the San Diego "Crystal Cove type" Meet - we'll have an opportunity to check out their facility, wheels, manuf.

I'm guessing we'd head over to HRE after the San Diego meet - sometime around Noon. HRE is located in Vista - about 15 minutes from Carlsbad.

Great idea. As laways, I'm jealous of your proximity to such places and the wonderful weather that you get all year 'round. Does anyone know if HRE still produces those three-piece wheels built from Fuchs centers?

Thanks Eli. I've always loved those. Now if I had a car to install them on.... My 996 just won't be right for them. Perhaps an early 70s 911s or RS replica. Hmm...
Yes, the owner here has an early RS replica and I thought about it for a moment but he's not the type "IMO" that would have seen the value in a set of HRE wheels for his vehicle...... "Who knows, I could be wrong"....

Update
If you have not PM'd me and you plan on attending I need to know ASAP! Otherwise you will not be able to attend the HRE Facility tour....I have a few spots remaining (HRE has asked that I limit the amount of people attending to ensure a good one on one experience) - so PM me or e-mail me if you're attending the tour. I will be sending out confirmations at the end of this week.
