I checked into this for my MY2000 when I had the top and window changed and it cannot be done b/c of the way the top lays down in the rear of the 99-01CAB.

yup, MY01 and earlier cannot be fitted with the glass top even if you replace the whole top.

I have a friend looking for a 2001-2003 C2/C4 Cab. This is a third car for him so he doesn't want to spend too much. He found a few low milage 2001's but was put off by the plastic rear window. The question is; Can 2001 and 2002 Cab's be retorfitted with glass rear windows? Anybody know the approximate cost? Issues? TIA, Adam

MY02s already have glass. If a glass rear window is that important to him, he's better off getting a MY02 or later.

yup, MY01 and earlier cannot be fitted with the glass top even if you replace the whole top. so, if glass is what he wants, better get the 02+, which has better interior, more aggressive fenders, better headlights and more choise of wheels.
