Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've know others can be overly compulsive about using bras and clear bras but as I've been told its a matter of personal opinion which I certainly agree with...but if you decide to paint...DON'T BLEND.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys
I have purchased some body parts for my 04 C2, and my question is this, How hard is it to match Artic Silver. My understanding is there are 4 shades of this colour, I would really like to install these new parts, however I do NOT want to paint ..aka blend in the fenders as well. I Do not plan on keeping this car forever so, i am sure that it is much harder to sell a painted car, even fenders.I do not want to ruin a good thing , but man these new pieces will make the car look great... Thanks in advance to all!!
Paul
well, it can be done, that's all i can tell you. my friend runs a very competant body shop and has had 2 color match/respray arctic silver pieces on my car and i couldn't tell the difference after.
if you want i can have him get back 2 u with an estimate or u can give him a call.
OK OK Its a Gemballa GT600 Front bumper, and a kevlar 993 style Hood.... , It was one of those things Right time right place.......And that never happens to me ..
Hi Paul...
I've heard people say its not a good idea to paint a car because it takes away from the "original" nature of the car...but then there are those that want to keep their car looking nice and with a first class paint job you can't really tell.
When I was over at Sunset ordering my car I overheard the sales person taking in a trade tell the owner that the value of his car was less because he had the front bumper repainted to cover chips. Two weeks later I saw this trade in on the lot being sold as a Porsche Certified used car at 62,000.00 which was 8000 over hi blue book...so go fugure.

Paint the entire section so that if there is a slight mismatch it will be less obvious IMHO on the entire surface rather than just the blended area.

Paul: i was looking at a 2003 AS on the Trader through GTA leasing. Pfaff repainted the whole front clip and they off matched the colour. the guy had it repainted over a year earlier and didn't notice. My guy looked at it and could tell right away.
Moral - imo if Pfaff screwed up, it must be a tough job.
regards, HT
Piece of cake, really.
If the professionals you are closest to can do the work, have it done locally where you can eyeball it in progress.
We can do this, and do this from time to time with parts off the car, but Arctic and some other metallics can be problematic.
The beauty of this upgrade is you keep the original bumper/hood and can get it back to stock later, so don't worry about value.
Check around. If you want to send that stuff to us in NC, happy to help out, just let me know.
Won't be bad.
Thanks Eric
I will look into shipping, if it is reasonable, i might just send it your way, or E-bay still not 100% sure if i want to ruin a good thing. Thanks for the advise
I know what you are about to go through:

Ask for Frank and tell him Peter with the Silver C2/boxster red interior sent you.
When he's done you won't be able to tell the difference... Frank has the 4 sheets of silver there so you guys can figure out exactly what type of silver your car was painted as... great work... Pfaff farms out half their work to this guy and when your there you'll probably see a couple of ferrari's being painted... if you want the best in TO go talk to Frank (warning.. he does take his time...)
good luck
Pete
