This is not a probability of success.

I wanted to ask if any of you have installed aftermarket alarm systems on my vehicles so you get the added perks, auto start, clean chirp, long distance activation, alarm paging etc.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I wanted to ask if any of you have installed aftermarket alarm systems on my vehicles so you get the added perks, auto start, clean chirp, long distance activation, alarm paging etc. etc...... If so what are your recommendations..... Thanks, -Eli BTW: I'd like to get that nice "Bopp" or "Errt"..... not the simple "sound like every other car "chirp"..... and I hate the horn alarm and hate the 5 patterns alarms.......

POST 4Original post

the 996 prolly has some pretty fancy stuff in it that makes it hard to steal..as opposed 2 a hon-duh civic for instance. if someone is gonna steal ur 911, they're not gonna be some crack junky with his pants hanging off his *** looking for a stereo and a joy ride, they'll prolly be professionals, and they will get the car whether u install an aftermarket alarm or not. having said that, aftermarket alarms will help u with other types of damage because u'll be able 2 run out with a shotgun and do whatever it is u americans do to tresspassers. also, you get the really really cool keychain pager

We need something to protect the Xenon lights, that seems to be very popular with the crooks these days

POST 6Original post

hmm...well the car is mostly metal right? so what we do is take a 50,000 volt tazer and duct tape it activly in the "on" position to some metal part so when someone touches a metal part, ZAP! Kentucky Fried Cartheif. alternativly, as a prank you can ducttape a lighter under the car handle of someone's car, in the "on" position of course. when the victim touches the handle, hand warmers ...extra crispy.

You could just electrically isolate the headlights and connect the HID booster circuit to the housing. Just tell me where you go to fill up your tank so I can be not nearby...
