Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quick question: In pics of more current 997s, Atlas Grey looks more of a black, maybe with some blue in it. A color that I like. In pics of 996s, it looks different. Obviously, pics aren't as good as the real thing, but I'm trying to refine a search online. Did Porsche change that color in the past 2 models (996/997)? Being partly colorblind doesn't help things. Thanks

POST 2Original post

Believe it or not there are two variations to the Atlas Grey of the 997 that I was told. I found this out when someone hit me from behind. The restoration shop matched the color very nicely. You are correct in saying that it appears black in some lighting and dark blue in others. There are some days in certain lighting when I see a touch of deep purlple as well. It's an awesome color that changes with the rising and setting sun. You will seen then how some Atlas Grey 997's portray a deeper, darker blue than others. Hope this helps. Good luck on your search. Jay

Phil, how long did it take to push your car out to the driveway to shoot those pics?

You mean I forgot to attach the "vroom..vroom" sound clip?
