Which dealer has the best service department in SoCal?
Long Version:
I'm in the early stages of moving from Dallas to the LA area and I'm starting to think about choosing a health club, bank, cell phone provider, etc. etc. etc.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a Porsche Dealer in the LA area. In my opinion, the staff at the ideal dealership would be technically competent, provide great customer service (follow-up phone calls, return messages in a timely manner, non-snobby demeanor, pleasant people, etc.) and offer free loaners.
It would be even better if the same dealership offered great deals on the sales end so I'd be inclined to make my next purchase from them. My experience to date has been that the dealerships that offer the best service don't offer the best deals. However, "great deals" isn't a requirement for meeting my immediate needs. If the dealer with the best service offers great deals, that's icing on the cake.

You're kidding right? What planet are you from? Seriously though, if that's what you're looking for, you should probably stay in Texas.
I've used Rusnak in Pasadena, Beverly Hills, Downtown L.A. and Pacific (in Hermosa Beach) as well as several independants. I can't say that ANY of them impressed me in the LEAST. They're ALL always working at capacity and are WAY too busy to give proper customer service. As for free loaners, not a chance (unless you bought a Carrera GT perhaps).
Having said all that, there was a mechanic at Beverly Hills Porsche - I think his name was Jack - who was really good, and after he worked on my car, he pulled me aside to go over some stuff with me. The car felt better than new after he worked on it. Problem is, Beverly Hills Porsche charges much more than other dealerships.

I recommend Willie at Circle in Long Beach. He is an old timer who is as meticulous as they come. Jeff A. is the Service Manager.
In regards to loaners, they will give you an Audi (usually) if the work is for warranty repairs. Otherwise, you are SOL.
Circle itself is a "dive" of dealership, but not for long. They are going to break ground on the largest showroom in the USA.
I second Elton's recommendation about Circle Porsche in Long Beach. I'll add Alberto G. to the mix since he is one of the service advisors. They certainly meet your requirements, i.e. technically competent, provide great customer service and offer free loaners.
Keep us in the loop for when you move here. Looks like your 40th, Elton's and mine need to get together for a fun run. And hopefully you're here by Sept 25th, since one of the PCA regions is organizing a memorial Porsche run, for the 50th anniversary of James Dean's death. The pack will be lead by 550 spyders followed by the rest of historical P-cars. An event you certainly can't miss!

Were either of you tooling around LA over the weekend? I was in town on a house-hunting trip and I saw a 40th anniversary go by. I honestly don't remember if I was on Pico, Willshire, or somewhere in Studio City at the time, but I thought I'd ask in case it was one of you two.

I just stopped by Circle to pick up some parts for 01 Carrera. I met Alberto G. and he seemed very nice/competent.
I just recently relocated to Seal Beach from NYC but I grew up in LA.
Their facilities seems small but adequate for Porsche, VW and Audi.
I dont know much about their reputatation or past history with Porsche's owners.
Has anybody used any local Orange County shops? recommendations?

BTW, one of the best reasons for being a Porsche owner out here is that they are so common. You don't stick out like a sore thumb. For example, a neighbor 2 houses down has a 40th, DrPeter lives a couple of miles away, and I see at least two others quite frequently in my hood.
