This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
If somebody offered to sell me a 99C2 for 27K I would run knowing there has to be something that you are not being told.

Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Black on Black 37 K Miles Aero Kit, The paint has small swirle marks all over and small sap marks for a tree. From 5 feet it look ok, but up close it looks kinda bad. A really good detail may clean it up. The interior is very clean. There is a small oil leak from the rear of the engine. It may be a RMS leak. How much does it cost to fix it. The front brakes are low and it need rear tires soon.
What should I offer him?
Do you have a strict budget you are trying to stay within (and thus considering a obviously flawed car)?
If not, you may want to keep looking. You should be able to find a 99 coupe in much better condition.
If you are not **** about such things you could consider it. With these telltale signs you really have to have an impartial mechanic inspect this car. It is doubtful that a detailer will get all of the swirl and sap marks out of the paint. If you plan on autocross or track days instead of PCA social events you could consider it. If not you will sell it next year (maybe at a loss) just because you don't " love" the car. The current owner does not love it, therefore the low price. Look at 20 cars and make an offer on the best one. In any event a 996 is a better choice than a 993 for everyday use.
Its going to be my daily driver, so i'm not worried about having a garage queen. The Mechanic breifly looked at it, the oil leak may not be a RMS. The brakes and the tires are wear and tear issues, so not a big deal. After I get a Complete PPI done, I will make my decsison.
