Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm only 90% sure about the mirror memory, but like I said, I'll double check when I get my car back on post my findings tomorrow (hopefully).

Suggestion
If you disconnected the control box on the bottom of the drivers seat when you installed your GT3 seats, you lost the mirror-tilt feature.

At the track I just run the driver's seatbelt behind the GT3 seat to the buckle.

If you're using 5/6 points on the street, be aware that they are not street legal because they don't have a big red release button for paramedics to push.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just had GT3 seats installed and obviously no longer have seat memory function. But do the GT3 seats also disable the mirror memory and passenger side mirror reverse dipping functions too? My battery died at the same time, so I'm trying to figure out which is the cause.
Oh crap. Does anyone have any ideas why my mirror memory and reverse dipping sidemirror don't work anymore? The electric adjustment works, just no memory.
News to me that the mirror memory should work - mine stopped working when I installed GT3 seats last year, and I assumed it was because the box under the driver's seat contained all the memory. If I'm wrong, I'd love to know how to regain the nifty mirror-drop in reverse gear.
I'm 100% sure my reverse dippy thingy is working. I'm only 90% sure about the mirror memory, but like I said, I'll double check when I get my car back on post my findings tomorrow (hopefully).
LiveNupe, you f@cker! I've been sitting in my garage for the past hour trying every button combination trying to get it to work
Just kidding
I asked Loren and he told me what everybody else has confirmed; the mirror memory is disabled w/ the GT3 seats.
In the meantime can anybody point me to a cheap source for a spare seatbelt buckle? That seatbelt warning light is driving me nuts.
Why is your seatbelt light on?
You should have picked open the connector under the old seat and removed the seatbelt connection to use with the GT3 seat - I did this and the seatbelt light works fine.
You should also ask the Porsche centre if it is necessary that they switch of the memory function. I can't immediately think why it is. If they leave it on the reversy dippy thing would still work. I'd like to retro fit that to my boxster.
Someone in another thread posted that they pulled one of the rear seat belts out as far as it would go and slipped that buckle into the driver's belt receptacle. Result: No seatbelt warning light!
Do you have photos or diagram to illustrate this procedure? Does this permanently disable the seatbelt warning light when the 3 pt belts are unbuckled? I figure using a spare seatbelt buckle when I am using the harnesses would be a simpler fix but I am open to new ideas.
At the track I just run the driver's seatbelt behind the GT3 seat to the buckle. It helps if you bring the seat forward first, then pull out lots of slack and move the seat back.
If you're using 5/6 points on the street, be aware that they are not street legal because they don't have a big red release button for paramedics to push.
I have the Porsche 6 pt harnesses. They are made by Schroth (I think they are Profi II) and the buckle has a single big red button release button. I think they are DOT legal.
Just to be safe, maybe I will wear the OEM seatbelt and the harnesses. What is that, 9 points? I'll be practically INVINCIBLE, but I'll wear 2 pairs of underwear, belt and suspenders, because you never know...
If you disconnected the control box on the bottom of the drivers seat when you installed your GT3 seats, you lost the mirror-tilt feature. It is included as power of the power seat package and is actually controlled by the seat memory module on the bottom of the driver's seat. I figured it out when I installed my GT3 seats. With the seat upgrades, I don't really miss it.
