Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 02 996 and the molding is starting to look slightly faded. Intersted in what everyone is using to make it look like new again that lasts and doesn't leave a residue. Thanks for the help

POST 4Original post

Griot's Rubber Cleaner followed by Gloss-It TRV.

POST 5Original post

I use Macquier's interior protectant. It is some sort of silicon based spray, works great on rubber trim and molding.

POST 6Original post

One Grand ERV (exterior rubber and vinyl) protectant. Great stuff. I use it on my tires primarily.

thats what I have been using. looking to try something else, maybe something that lasts longer. No matter the product, whats the trick to applying it to the molding's?

POST 9Original post

Gummi Pflege Stift is nice for the rubber. Also, I really like those Griot's rubber and plastic wipes for all the black trim on the outside of the car--leaves the black looking great.

POST 10Original post

I use this on all of my customers cars. It's really a great product and easy to apply due to it's packaging. 303 would be my second choice. http://www.1z-usa.com/einszett_gummi_pflege.html Andy
