i checked the fuse for security but it's fine.

key stuck last week, ordered ignition switch from pelicanparts. replaced it last night. took about 10 minutes, small hands helps sometimes. now the car won't start. the battery was almost dead before i replacing ignition switch, so i tried to connect a spare battery to the fused box to pop the hood, didn't work. then i went ahead change the ignition switch without disconnecting battery. now the key will turn fine. but the car is stone-dead. even the red alarm light in the center console won't blink when a spare battery is connected. what could be the problem? i checked the fuse for security but it's fine. any help? thx

Did you disconnect the battery when you were doing this? Are there lights with the spare battery connected? Maybe you popped the ignition fuse?

i didn't disconnect batt. maybe i popped the igition fuse. but when spare batt. connected, at least i should have some lights, no the car is totally dead as if no elec. at all.

so i finally got my friend came over, helped me pushing the car out of garage, and hooked up to his SUV. was able to started it after half-hour charge. guess what happend is my spare batt doesn't have enough joice. however, now my front-trunk can't be opened, another DYI for another weekend.
