I would check the frame of the seat as well and make sure that wasn't tweaked.

How is it possible to replace a windshield and affect the seat?
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My buddy had a glass company out to replace his windshield and during the process they somehow managed to crack the passenger's side painted seatback.
Any idea how he should approach this? It's a huge crack on the back of the seat. Anyone ever had theirs repaired? Can it even BE repaired?
Any idea what the dealer would charge to replace? Do they come painted from the dealer?

Replacing a seatback is pretty straight forward. The pre-painted part is available.
I would simply talk to the shop owner or manager, show him the damage, and ask him when they would like to get the part replace.
I had a windshield replaced on the Orient Express a few years back that the installer sliced the leather on the A-pillar cover when he was cutting out the windshield. They replaced it no problem, ordered the replacement $800 A-pillar cover, which I installed myself. Lastly the installer got fired.
some windshields require pressure from the inside. you need to push it out using your feet. You could crack the seat backs. The sport seats backs are plastic.
