Now that the heat is building in Texas when I start my '02 C2 it seems to be "loaded up" and idles at about 700 rpm instead of the 1200 rpm it normally does. If you feather the throttle a little it will then clear up and idle correctly. It acts as though it's not running on all cylinders at start up. It runs fine after it clears up. Any suggestions on where to look? Thanks, Tony

whenever i see someone posting about rough idles or idling issues i think to do the following: 1. get an OBD II reader and look up any codes your engine computer might be throwing. search here for your codes and you might get some clues as to what's going on. 2. search for cleaning throttle body. 3. i don't think it's related, but i'm no expert, so go ahead and search MAF cleaning and see if that helps.

It just does it at initial startup. After 5-10 seconds it runs fine with no more issues. It doesn't surge or idle erratically just feels loaded up at the initial startup when stone cold. Tony
