Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

22 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Driving home from work tonight. Warm summer evening... windows down, sunroof open... cruising on a country road. Stevie Ray Vaughan on the stereo... I love this car...

POST 3Original post

I'm with you. Same exact thing, windows down, sunroof open, and right down to SRV on the CD changer, (with Trower as backup disc). What a great feeling.

POST 4Original post

Saw Trower with Clapton - great concert! +1 for "at least I did it......no matter where it ends up"

POST 5Original post

Here's what I posted a couple of weeks ago on my Facebook wall: It was a good morning... cruising south on the beach drive through Encinitas, Leucadia, Del Mar with the top down, the surf crashing the beach, gulls squeeking in the distance, the purr of 3.4 liters of precision German engineering serving as the back beat to Eric Clapton's Classical Gas... GAWD I love my car! GAWD I love San Diego!!! Quintessential moments - this was one, cruising back from the Carlsbad Exotic Car meet at about 9am a couple of Saturday morning ago... Rudy

POST 6Original post

yup, no regrets. aside from really enjoying my car some of the events the club here in the Canada West Region have has really made owning the car special. From spring to fall there is a drive called Bobs breakfast club, Saturday mornings we meet at a starbucks in west Vancouver, EARLY like 05:30, go for a spirited drive up the sea to sky highway then find our way back into north vancouver for some breakfast. Is cool leaving my place like at 05:00, quiet streets, all by myself on the highway then hooking up along the way to the meet with the other cars. lots of cars show up, all kinds of Porsches. some pics here>>> http://photobucket.com/Geoffs-BBC-photos and here>>> http://s284.photobucket.com/albums/l...fR_photos/BBC/ some auto cross pics in other ablums on the left of the page.

Excellent. I like the sound of that.

POST 8Original post

Welcome to the club, Dennis. But don't tell anyone else about our "secret"!

POST 9Original post

Dennis, sounds great but why is your cruise control on?

Oh no, the dreaded "little green circle thingie" rears its ugly head once again!

POST 11Original post

cruise? I thought that green light stayed on until you hit your "target speed"

POST 12Original post

No, the little green circle stays on until you're totally humiliated on the board by Tim and learn what the hell it means , and how to turn it off!! Ouch, my head is starting to hurt again.

POST 13Original post

<Ed thinks> Phil is on the phone to the Dr. IT'S BACK - The entire thing is BACK !!! Dr: "Phil?" "Whats back?" THAT GAWD DAMM GREEN CIRCLE !! You know what the hell is back !!

Stevie is the man! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRlFK...eature=related

POST 15Original post

I thought that green circle meant it was time to wind the digital clock! And as long as we are on the topic of a great drive, this past Friday (July 2) I drove from Jacksonville, Florida, to Cleveland, Ohio (918.3 miles) to visit my parents for a week. I leave the day after tomorrow. Today, I paid a visit to one of our more well known, currently banned in Boston and everywhere else, ex-Rennlisters. He is doing great. He is out there lurking, so his memory, like The Force, still flows though many a keyboard here. I had never met him personally before, so it was a real treat to meet him at his "office" and chat for over an hour and a half. Chris is truly an awesome guy. I liked him immediately and he didn't do or say anything to change that opinion. He is a real life total Porschephile, with the Porsche fever running deep and thick in his blood. I hope his "sentence" is short. But, I now know where to find him and will look forward to joining him for lunch again. He said to say "Hi" to everyone. If you know who I'm talking about, then Chris says "Hi." If not, well, nevermind.

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Actually listened to The Eagles on the way home tonight...

POST 19Original post

Great Drive #33: Live in Orange County, California. Leave about 5AM Sunday Morning from San Clemente and drive Hwy 1/PCH along the coast, thru Dana Point, up thru Laguna Beach, Newport Coast, Corona Del Mar, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, ending in Seal Beach around 7AM, with stops in Balboa Island for coffee refill, and a little cruise on the Newport Pennisula. ALL the way listening to Rolling Stones, Eagles, some Eric, and ending with a little Buffet. No traffic, making all the lights, nobody around just the wind, the waves, the gulls and my beautiful C4S Cab, top down, of course!

POST 20Original post

not me, but I followed about an 04' C4S home tonight, (I was in the truck as I had to use it today) The guy got in front of me right by work and we inched along to the freeway I was right behind him (at a very comfortable distance as to not crowd) He obviously had PSE (or simillar) and this thing sounded awesome..... hit the on ramp and away he went... shoot.... it took my 14 miles to catch him, just in time to hear the rev of rpm matching downshifting... NICE - cruised by as he exited the freeway and waited for a look....yea, right... wrong car... anyhow, I know what its like on the other end of that (not the same car, but fairly close) and not only has it been the ultimate dream come true, for me it has been the fulfillment of a 28 year long desire... I still will always look at every P-car, and having one, well..... I can compare and smile knowing how unique each one is and see the subtle changes each owner has made. "Here Here" to no regrets and to being able to live what I dreamed about for all those years..... and to the nah sayers.... I dont care - I spent over 1/2 my life wishing I could drive one of these cars and park it in my garage....if its not your dream, good.....but it is mine (well one of mine ) and the thrill of having this car is not the best thing in life, but it was very high on my "to do" list, and I am going to enjoy every second of it!! WITH GOOD FRIENDS like all of you on this board!!! PS all you SRV listeners I encourage you to find and listen to Gov't Mule with W Haynes from Allman Bros sample below - they have many great songs and this guy can play quite well.. nice some differant style of playing

For a moment, I thought you were talking about the P!g and was prepared to issue a lifetime ban.

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 6716358

While I have done something like this in the P!g, it didn't quite bring out the "I love this car" comment. Although I must admit, I have no regrets about buying the P!g either...
