Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Just so you know, my car just came back from the dealer to address my SRS/airbag light that went on due to a faulty seat belt buckle, could that repair be a cause of the problem for my directional lights not working?
Leading evidence: 'Repair same item(seat belt) last year' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Repair be a cause of the problem' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just noticed that my turn signal does not go off automatically after I complete either a right or left turn. Just so you know, my car just came back from the dealer to address my SRS/airbag light that went on due to a faulty seat belt buckle, could that repair be a cause of the problem for my directional lights not working? Perhaps they were tinkering with the steering wheel which affected the turn signal switches?
I have a '99 996 does anyone know how to correct my turn signal problem? Thanks.
I believe this is a bad "clock ring" and should not have been touched when they looked at your airbag light
BTW what did they hit you up for fixing (I assume they fixed) the airbag light?
Clock ring requires steering wheel removal and from what I hear is not a long or hard jon, so labor rate should be low... part is couple hundred, if I got it right.... ??? I have not been in there yet. This is not an uncommon problem and there are others who know what it takes to fix it..

Thanks for the response. There was no charge on the SRS issue since they repaired the same item(seat belt) last year. (It seems to be an annual event).
You need to replace the stalk. About $150 in parts, and you can get an OBC stalk to enable OBC if you don't already have it.
It takes about 30 minutes. Make sure you mark the steering wheel position before you take the wheel off.
OBC = On board computer. You get to scroll through all the cool functions and see them displayed under the tach. All the cars have OBC, but if you don't have the stalk you can't see the stuff.
I drove with a crooked wheel for weeks as I would occasionally take it off and try one notch over.
