I am making a corporate move (IL to NC). However, the international company that I work for does not have a large footprint in the US so I have to do much of this unsupported (i.e., they will pay for it but I need to plan it).
Additionally, the time frame is super short (about 30 days) so I will not have enough time to find a new home in NC (I'll be a renter while I look). So I will need to have most of my furniture and belongings placed in storage (while my wife and I look).
Do any of you know of any moving companies that you would recommend, or specialize in this type of relocation?
Any other advice you would give for someone who has not been through this before?

Yes I do, but Ray wants a place north of Charlotte, which will be closer to his client.
Ray, you might want to check with Salisbury Moving in Salisbury, NC [phone removed]. They do corporate moves for a large grocery chain which is headquartered in Salisbury. They moved me from San Antonio to Charlotte and then from Charlotte to Dallas. Tell them Tim Krueger referred you.
Are you needing to move the office stuff too? I am not sure if they do that, but you can ask.
For the storage itself I used Devon Storage on South Blvd while I was looking. You can drive a large box truck right inside and it is fully air conditioned. Price was reasonable and it is pretty centrally located so convenient to wherever.
i had good luck with Mayflower when moving from Michigan to Los Angeles. Also it was a direct ship, no going to a warehouse, unloading and reloading your stuff. I made the mistake of not using Mayflower when I moved back and paid for it.
