Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

My post about the blinking side markers, was titled: "blinking side markers and more". Here is a glimpse of what will soon be available: 1. Projector puddle lights (with Porsche Logo!) 2. Interior LED upgrade kit 2. Headlight bulb upgrade kit More details will follow in this thread - so subscribe

POST 2Original post

Quick suggestion, but probably too late. A switch on the frunk light would be wonderful! Often when working, I have to remove that light so as not to drain the battery!

That bulb also gets super hot if you leave the frunk open for a long time a switch would be great! Seems like an easy enough diy as well though

The LED will reduce the draw/heat of the frunk bulb 80-90%. Best incentive to swap it imo.

My frunk light goes out after a little while. ? I leave it open when trickle charging the battery

POST 7Original post

IIRC mine does not go out - if I plan on having the frunk open for an extended period, I remove the bulb (mine is a 996.1 the .2 may be different).

POST 8Original post

I think the manual says it goes out after 100 minutes or so. Its a bit excessive.

POST 9Original post

I have puddle lights for my 986 and 996 with logo from another vendor , they are a nice subtle upgrade . I replaced my trunk/frunk/engine compartment light bulbs on both cars with cheap LED replacements . Much brighter and remain cool to the touch regardless on how long they are on . I am sure Adrian's stuff will be of superior quality 👌.

I wish...! Rennfix had plans to make some a year or two ago, but I gave up asking about it...
