Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The title says it all! If so, how was the experience? How were/are the results? It seems like a pretty useful especially for folks who track often Do tell!
No, but that reminds me I had claude building an iPhone app to do the same using built in sensors. Should be ballpark achievable with the right mounting setup and lots of testing.
Have not had any alignment done on my 996 since purchase in May, is this something any shop with an alignment rack can do?
Yeah, that seems a little steep! The gen 1 for iOS is $189 - which seems super reasonable. I watched the instructional videos (all 6 of them) and it looks pretty well thought out and comprehensive in its abilities.
I've looked at various tools to do alignments on different carsiPhone 7 or SE, laser levels, string/calipers, bubble levels. Strings/calipers is the best short of an alignment rack, IMHO. My results may not have been the best available, but I found the iPhone resolution to be inadequate for getting worthwhile results. Great for leveling paintings on a wall, not good enough to distinguish +/- .2 deg camber or 2mm toe-in. Then again, no one seems willing to indicate the internal error of a professional setup. Theres a recent YT video at a Porsche race shop demonstrating using strings.
iPhone 7 or SE ? Isnt that like 8 yrs ago? I think theyre at 17 now In any case, the question was - Has anyone BOUGHT or USED Gyraline to align their 996?
Ok so the Gen 1 is $189, and the Gen 2 (which is supposed to be a significant upgrade) is $599 not $1k - but you need at least an iPhone 15 if you want to use Apple or a newer Android phone (gen 1 only runs on Apple). So, still no users I guess???
$599 US, $1000+ NZD for me.
If you like the gadget nature of it, then go for it. It looks cool. But for me, i can do a better job myself.
Really lets be honest how often will some of us actually do a full alignment? Would be a great tool for a local porsche club to rent out though.
