Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello everyone! Hope to be able to contribute. Rejoined the Porsche clan last month after a 7 year hiatus. I picked up a base seal gray 2003 Carrera Tip. Was debating for about a year whether to get into another 911 knowing that my chronic knees/feet issues wouldn't allow me to drive a stick again. Tip is not as fun but is a good compromise for my condition. My girl was trying to get me into a MB CL. And I knew I wouldn't last long in one of those. My daily driver is an Infiniti FX35. JP

POST 6Original post

Welcome! From a sort of new/pre-owned owner (I bought it, but don't have it yet. Need to pick it up in KY - 800 miles away when I have some time). Eric '02 C4S (Speed Yellow)

POST 7Original post

Welcome back to the fold - I am a returnee myself after a 3 year lapse. My 964 was my first love. Hope that your condition does not inhibit your participation here. And BTW DRIVE your P-Car - we don't take lightly to garage queen poisers!

POST 11Original post

nice looking p-car...seal grey is a great color.

POST 12Original post

Welcome back! Once you've driven a Porsche... Nice car!!!

POST 13Original post

I really like your Classic look wheels, beautiful... Welcome back!

POST 14Original post

everytime i hear you guys post from LA, the OC... i get very jealous. congrats man. post some more pics in your neighborhood so this sleepless in seattle guy can cope until he gets down there himself for another fun weekend or a permanent move.

POST 16Original post

Great looking 996, love those wheels. I know you love LA BC, but I must say Seattle is one of the nicest cities in the US, IMO. Love it over there (except the weather, better than snow). Now northern California is a diff story for me

POST 17Original post

Very nice looking car - congratulations and welcome!

POST 18Original post

Beautiful 996 - wecome (back)!! Indeed, seal gray is a great color on your car. Enjoy it! Porsche or MB?? Not even a valid comparison!

POST 19Original post

KUDOS!!! Good for you.....congrats on your new toy. Drive safe, and yes, the SG is fantastic. If you want to tweak the look a bit, for a small price you can swap your orange side markers for some smoked ones...it is AWESOME looking on SG. You will love it. J

agreed. in the summertime. weather is spot-on. and i do absolutely love SF. if u search thsi forum, i actually picked up my 911 in burlingame. that 5 day weekend ... was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life and i've been around the world. SF is just so clean and so full of good stuff i don't know how to describe it. LA is more to get the partying out of my system at this time in my life.

POST 21Original post

Great looking car. (Glad you got the best year! )

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! After I got the door dings repaired, I find a Target shopping cart bumped up against my passenger door. Sheesh. Oh well... I've been driving it whenever I can which is about 3 to 4 days a week. The blasts up/down PCH have been fun. Hope to join some gatherings too. So let me know. tooloud10, I love your taste in cars too! That FX growl! uberskier, That's gonna be a fun drive when you pick it up! 800 miles of Porsche! Have fun. germany, Haha, won't be a garage queen just for the fact that there's no room to park it in my garage. It sits undercover on my driveway when parked and will never see the inside of the garage. Price to pay for living at the beach in these Japan-sized houses with no parking. BC, whatcha talking 'bout? Seattle is awesome! Keep forgetting the name of my favorite restaurant, ??"13 coins"?? But of course you would do 'well' out here brah! ls911 & BC, although I'm native SoCal, I can't say I prefer it to NorCal or Seattle. I love being in different places. Phil G, Ya' no comparison. Turns out she was saying MB because she wanted it for herself. haha JBRipps, thx for the info. I'm gonna try and take it slow with modding. Too many kids expenses that gotta come first. Peace!

POST 23Original post

13 coins is correct! Great atmosphere, super good food. It has been about 10 yrs since I've been there, if I remember correctly it is very close to the airport. BTW BC, SF is as good as it gets, how sweet it must have been fo you, heavenly like no doubt. Speedyjp. I hear you on the "other expenses" much the same with me. Modding slow is not so bad considering the starting point Clear side markers (European) was one of the first mods I did, big impact for the $. There are many though that do like those pumpkins. I do enjoy SoCal as well, spent my Navy years stationed in Long Beach. Excellent beaches, beautiful women, no better weather to be had. GL in your ownership

POST 24Original post

POST 25Original post

Congrats and Welcome! Very nice, clean looking p-car, enjoy!

POST 26Original post
